Photo Remaster List

Presort batches by camera model, then by ISO. Two repair passes only.

Policy: the AI pass repairs; it does not render. Tone, contrast, colour, white balance and saturation are preserved here and adjusted downstream, in 16-bit.

How to use: find your camera below, note the priority lines for your ISO band, then follow the link to the prompt page and paste the matching line into the prompt’s slot.

Legend #

Tiers — A = full remaster · B = targeted only · C = minimal / narrow

Pass ops — DB deband · cDN chroma-only denoise · DN denoise · CL cleanup · RC reconstruct

Recipes — R1 noise-first · R2 cleanup-first · R3 reconstruct-first · R4 deband-first · R5 minimal

Switch ISO — at or below, use the base recipe; above, use the high-ISO recipe. Tier A rows are marked moot: base and high are identical.

Priority lines — short emphasis instructions, one per pass. They are the only per-camera part of the prompt; everything else in the prompt is generic.

  • Pass 2: reconstruct detail, conservatively

  • Notes:

    • Universal (sensor-level, present in RAW too): green-channel vertical banding, centre third. Deband is mandatory in every format.
    • JPEG-only (in-camera processing): baked NR, sharpening, 8-bit clipping.
    • RAW would drop the tier; the banding would remain.

Notes on method #

Reading the split: the base-ISO and high-ISO bands are the demarcation surface. Tier A rows use one recipe throughout. Tier B and C rows use a gentler base recipe and escalate only when ISO climbs.

Presort rule: bucket by camera, then split at the switch ISO. Tier A buckets have no split.

If ISO is unknown — stripped EXIF, re-saved files — default to the base band. Its second pass catches residual noise, whereas an absolute first-pass denoise on a clean frame is the harder error to undo.

Format: every camera listed here is assumed to have output JPEG.

The Pentax K5 and K1 are RAW and will be the only RAW entries — a different handling class.

Pending: Pentax K5/K1 (RAW), Microsoft KIN (revisit).
